If you find the file copy it and overwrite the file of the same name in the following directory /home/pi/.config/pcmanfm/LXDE-pi - that directory is also hidden. If that directory is there - we are looking for a file who name is nfĤ.

In that directory you will hopefully find some more directories - were looking for pcmanfm/LXDE-piģ. You will have a directory /home/pi/oldconffiles - in that directory there will be a "hidden". And that good or bad, it won't change anything really in the world. I click on 'set as home screen wallpaper' but my wallpaper is the same as before (the default one). That happened to me recently - I'm off to the pub so this is a bit hurried - but this is roughly the answerġ. Now I don't say necessarily that I'm right, this is my personal attitude about these. So I am trying to change my home screen wallpaper from the default one, to the one from my gallery, but it isnt changing.

Hi I can't help with how it is now broken - but after you do get it working and then decide to update and lose your wallpaper etc I can help. I'm at work and I don't have and SDcard-adapter here, so that will be for another time. I sudo pcpacmanfm-ed and changed the permissions of a number of files to "everybody", after which the whole thing broke: now the microphone gives an error and my talking lady doesn't listen anymore (the led still blinks though). I assumed it was a permissions-problem, but I didn't know which files were involved. Not only the desktop-picture, also my preferences for showing mounted volumes didn't stick. Now that you’ve removed your existing Wallpaper, you can proceed to create a new, better background.Taxicletter wrote:I had the same problem since updating AIY.

Click ‘Personalize.’ Now, you can set the default wallpaper which will remove your current one.

If you’ve grown tired of your current wallpaper, or you need to change it to something else, you can.įind a blank space on your Windows desktop and right-click it. You will be found, and Microsoft will not be amused. That means you’re free to enjoy them for your own personal use, but don’t use them in advertising, videos, or for any other commercial purpose. Simply copy the desired image to a flash drive or online storage service and then transfer it to your mobile device or other PC and use the appropriate settings there to configure it as your background wallpaper.Īn important note, however: these images are owned or licensed by Microsoft for the personal non-commercial use of Windows users. Let’s say you really, really like the theme you snagged at work, but you’re not sure you’ll be able to grab it for another device.

Microsoft has made hundreds of themes available for free via the Microsoft Store, and most of them are quite spectacular.

Many Windows 10 users don’t use the standard wallpaper files – instead, they use Windows 10 Themes.

Windows allows you to use images from your personal files as desktop wallpaper. Well, these photographs could just be what you are looking for! Surely, you have taken some lovely photographs through your digital camera and stored it on your computer. If you have scrolled through hundreds of default wallpapers in your computer or browsed the Microsoft Store, but still haven’t found the perfect picture for your desktop background, then maybe you should pick a photo that is closer to your heart.
